In 1994, CTA Engineering & Surveying was contracted for the large Carson Creek master planned project in El Dorado Hills, California. Both land surveying and civil engineering services were needed for those communities located in El Dorado County near the El Dorado/Sacramento County line. Entitlements sought and services provided included:

• Specific Plan
• Tentative Maps
• Improvement Plans
• Final Maps
• Construction Staking
• Construction Support

Developers envisioned 1,700 housing units for active adults, 40,000 square feet for commercial uses, 500,000 square feet for research and development uses, 780,000 square feet for industrial uses, 37 acres for parklands, and 200 acres for open space. Construction, began in 2000.

Phase 1 included 460 lots developed by K. Hovnanian Homes. Phase 2 included 285 lots built by Lennar Homes of California, Inc.

David Crosariol, Principal with CTA Engineering & Surveying, has been consulting since the beginning of the project. “This has been a rewarding project to be involved with from concept through fruition,” said David. “We’ve been an integral part of the planning, project design, and construction process.”

In 2017, more construction continued and 630 lots were built by Lennar Homes of California, Inc. Model homes opened in March 2019.

CTA is pleased to continue implementation of future phases of Carson Creek.
